Why should we save water ?
Most people try not to waste water. There are a lot of important reasons why we should not waste water.
Some people think water is easy to get. People think water stays every time. Ninety-five percent of the Earth is covered by water. However, only two percent of ninety-five percent is drinking water. What happens if there would be no water after few months? Now you have to drink about 2 percent of 95 percent. It is really small amount of water for billions of people.
We could get water from sea but it is really hard. Scientists have tried to change sea water to drinking water but it has been hard. So only water we can get now is ground water. These days, it is the safest water to drink.
It is hard to find clean water now days. Also there are ways not to waste water. It is easy to make it. First you get water that comes from your kitchen. And then boil it for 3 minutes. This is safe water because when you boil it, all chemicals fly away.
Do you know how people pollute the water? There are millions of vehicles running on the roads. It makes bad gas that pollutes air. When these vehicles made, they use paints, some chemicals and oils. Than where do we put the leftovers from cars, after finished making the car? People throw it away to river. These leftovers will follow the river and enter to the sea. It will harm living things living in ocean. Also some ships got sunk and make oils floating on the sea. This happened in Korea.
A lot of fish died because they couldn’t breath. When oil is floating on sea, it will cover the water so air cannot go up from sea. There will be no air to breathe for fish. At that time, It was usual to find a bird that cannot fly because its wings are covered with oil from shipwreck.
Now we must change this world. We can change this world to peaceful world. Think about big mountain range. Birds are singing on a tree, sounds of water. What will happen when there is no more water? Your grand children might not know what water is. We must change the future so futures people can live like us now. We mankind think only now is important but we must change this thinking.
